When the angel Lucifer fell from grace, after becoming the leader of hell, he and an unknown she-devil created a son. The demon child was just as cunning and manipulative as his father and quickly overthrew him when he became powerful enough and assumed the role as Satan.
For thousands of years, the newest archangel and Satan led a campaign of war against one another. Throughout this time, the angels protected the humans of earth from the demons until they enlisted the help of the vampires to feed among the mortals of earth. In response the angel's created the first lycans to fight off these new beasts.

Overtime, the angels began to neglect their duties of watching over the humans and let the earth fall into decay as the war with hell increased before they took the war to the mortal world, in particular, the city of New York.
In the year 2013 however, a angel warrior named Kieran, a former guardian angel, led an assassination attempt against the new Satan, but was matched in combat by the devil's personal bodyguard, a female demon named Sareena. It was love at first sight for the two and together they conceived half-blooded twins months later.

The twins [referred to as imperfects] served as a symbol: what could be if heaven and hell ceased their war against the other. Both angels and demons could not stand the idea and alerted their respected leaders.The archangel tortured and banished Kieran from heaven and the new Satan had his cheating mate executed as a example to those who wished to blend the races.
Kieran took the twins to a human he had once guarded and entrusted the twins to him before succumbing to his wounds.
The twins are now full-grown adults: one wanting to cease the war, the other inspired by it. The fate of the world rests within the twins, and the people around them.
